Budokon Mobility Improve your joint health and movement capabilities

With the Budokon Mobility training we work on three components that improve your mobility; strength, flexibility and health of your joints and tissues. In this introductory 8-week training I will get you familiarized with the 5 primary positions of Budokon Mobility and how to built smooth transitions from each of those. We start with the basics and I will give you a sneak peek into how these mobility patterns relate to your BJJ game.

For those of you who don't know me, my name is Selina and I've been a Yoga Teacher since 2019 and practicing Yoga since 2008.

In the summer of 2021 I spend three months in the forests of Montana with Budokon Founders Cameron Shayne & Melayne Shayne and this experience has transformed my whole movement practice.

Budokon is a mixed movement art system, combining mixed martial arts with yoga, mobility, callisthenics and quadrupedal movement (animal crawling).

I've completed a 500h "Guru Killer" teacher training incorporating all these elements and am now a certified Budokon Yoga and Mobility teacher. I started my BJJ and MMA journey in Montana and I am honored to say I was able to learn from the best (Rafael Lovato jr. & Xande Ribeiro).

I want to introduce you to Mobility movement patterns because I truly believe it will transform your movement practice as well.

What are we going to do?

In this training I will introduce you to the following aspects of Mobility

Mobility Drills Walking on all planes

In the mobility drills you'll familiarize yourself with how to "walk" while seated, lying on your back, belly, side or even while being inverted. Each week we'll work on new patterns. Conditioning your body in these transitions will create more flexibility in your muscles, space in your soft tissues and overall strength, resulting in improved mobility. 

Quadrupedal Movement Moving on all fours

The animal crawling patterns will bring more connection and integration of the upper and lower body within your movement patterns. You will built on your upper body strength, core and while walking like a Gorilla you will feel your hip flexors burn like you never have before

Mobility flow Connecting Transitions

Knowing how to connect different movement patterns and how to transition from one position to the next, will bring you new movement capabilities you didn't know were possible. These capabilities could help you move more freely while sparring.

When, Where and How

Gracie Jiu Jitsu Gouda

Every Friday we'll work on new patterns. Every other Sunday we'll repeat the patterns we have been working on the previous times. If you can't make it to one of the trainings in Gouda, you are free to join in Rotterdam to catch up.

  • We start on Friday the 6th of January
  • Every week for 8 weeks
  • Every Friday night from 19:15 - 20:00
  • Every other Sunday from 10:00 - 10:30 (15 + 29 Jan // 12 + 26 Feb)

BJJ Rotterdam

Every Tuesday we'll work on new patterns. Every other Sunday we'll repeat the patterns we have been working on the previous times. If you can't make it to one of the trainings in Rotterdam, you are free to join in Gouda to catch up.

  • We start on Tuesday the 3th of January
  • Every week for 8 weeks
  • Every Tuesday night from 19:15 - 20:00
  • Every other Sunday from 10:30 - 11:00 (8+22 Jan // 5+19 Feb)
